About Your Trip

Experience one of the Best Fishing Adventures that Miami Has to offer with Deep Sea Fishing Miami aboard Charter Boat Spellbound that can accommodate up to 24 passengers. Join Captain Manuel "Manny" Sivina and his incredible crew for a fishing trip of a lifetime perfectly tailored to your needs from Sport Fishing and Fishing Tours for Families with kids and couples to team building and corporate tours Deep Sea Fishing Miami has something for everyone. Step on this offshore Sport Fishing Newton Boat and get ready for an adventure of a lifetime. This "Battle Wagon offers you all the comforts of home. Offshore fishing involves running further offshore in or near the Gulfstream. Many might think that this would be miles and miles from shore and in the Northeastern part of the United States it is 100 miles out but in reality, it is only two miles off the shores of Miami Beach. Many of the fish that anglers look to fish for live in the warmer waters within the Gulfstream’s current. This means that the Tuna, Marlin, Swordfish, Sailfish, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi and other fish are located just a few minutes away.

Fishing methods vary depending on what you are looking for but the method most used is trolling. Trolling is having one or more fishing lines are in the water at one time baited with either lures or bait fish while the boat is moving. Trolling is a great method because it covers a lot of area and the more chances of getting on the fish. Trolling is great for catching; Mahi-Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo,Kingfish, Barracuda, Sailfish and the elusive but fun to catch Billfish.

Another method is for the Captain to troll around looking for birds and debris as this is a good indicator of fish in the area, especially Mahi Mahi. The Mahi-Mahi are best caught during the summer months but their season runs from early April to Late September. November to May is the time to come down to South Florida for your best chances to hook a sailfish. The winter months of December to February are the optimal months.
Pick from a half-day. 3/4 day, or full day adventure to satisfy your thrill seeking desires! On this trip you will be trolling the Miami Coast in pursuit of the legendary bounty known to this area! For half-day trips you will be venturing 3-8 miles offshore, 3/4 day 3-12 miles, and full day 3-15 or wherever the bite takes you!
The Captain and Mate will provide you with top quality fishing equipment including conventional and spinning tackle ranging from 10 to 130 lb class. When it comes to cleaning and filleting the catch. Crew members will kindly bag and ice desired fish wanted, so a 20 % gratuity would be appreciated and split among themselves.Spellbound is very child friendly, so don't hesitate to bring your little ones along.

Captain Manuel

Independent Guide
From a young age Captain Jay knew what he wanted to do. When he was only 18 months old he caught his first fish with his father. With that 2 lbs. flounder he was, pardon my pun, hooked. He is actually a 4th generation fisherman so fishing is in his blood. He has spent his whole life in or around fishing boats and poles and lures. At age 13 he started his journey to becoming the Captain of his own fishing charter boat.

At age 13 he took a job as second mate aboard the 80 foot “New Popeye” party fishing boat. From there he continued to work on fishing vessels in New Orleans throughout his college years. During grad school in Miami, he worked as a mate on the 24’ “Sweet Gina” taking out groups of three anglers to the Miami fishing grounds.

Eventually, when he was 21 he landed a Captain position on a 90’party fishing boat doing two and three-day trips to the Bahamas. This was his most memorable experience. On board this vessel he was able, in the seven years he stayed on as Captain, to land just about every great fish in the Gulfstream from a 9 lbs. Yellowtail Snapper to a 90 lbs. Grouper to a 600 lbs. Giant Blue Fin Tuna to a whopping 800 lbs. Blue Marlin. He has caught all of them and can take this expertise to put his customers on the fish.

Captain Jay is an accomplished fisherman. He has won numerous awards like the first place fun fish boat in the Miami Billfish Tournament. He holds many I.G.F.A. records, METT Tournament wins and is proud to have guided his customers to their own I.G.F.A. records too.
He loves being a fisherman. He loves taking people out to fish. He loves to see the look in the eye when that kid or adult lands his first fish. He knows that they are hooked just like he was 40 years ago.
