About Your Trip

Captain Drew is a full time Mosquito Lagoon flats fishing guide offering light tackle charters near Orlando. I also offer nearshore light tackle reef-wreck charters, tarpon, snook and cobia fishing charters along with sight fishing the flats on the Mosquito Lagoon, Indian River, Port Canaveral, Ponce Inlet and Sebastian Inlet. I do both saltwater spin fishing and saltwater fly fishing for redfish, tarpon, cobia, snapper, big jacks, shark, triple tail, snook, seatrout and black drum.

Snook, seatrout, bull redfish, drum, sheephead, pompano, triple tail, jacks, shark, cobia and flounder are year round! Peak tarpon season is from May thru November and the tarpon range from 10 pounds to over well 150 pounds. This is the closest light tackle saltwater flats fishing charter and nearshore beach fishing trips located east of Orlando, Kissimmee & Disney. I also offer dolphin and manatee sight seeing tours.

I would like to invite you to fish the Mosquito Lagoon and north Indian River located in the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore. Premier nearshore fishing and inshore saltwater flats fishing near Orlando, Kissimmee & Disney. We will either meet in Cocoa Beach near Port Canaveral or New Smyrna Beach near Ponce Inlet right off I-95 just east of Orlando.

This is the number one place in central Florida to catch trophy redfish, seatrout, snook, triple tail, king fish, snappers, shark black drum year round and seasonal tarpon, cobia in central Florida. Great weather means, it is tarpon time. Reef wreck deep sea fishing has been epic!

All of my inshore and nearshore guided fishing tours are done out of a new 2022 21 foot Pathfinder TRS boat, with a Yamaha outboard. Outfitted with professional grade saltwater fly fishing and light tackle Shimano St Croix spinning gear, high end Garmin Side View/Down Scan electronics package. Fishing this unaltered estuary among the shallow back country grass flats allows you to make casts at fish you are able to see and stalk. Plenty of room for up six anglers at times. We now have a backcountry micro skiff for shallow water flats fishing and sight flats fishing trips.

First Time Booking with Us?

Captain Experiences is the home of over 1500 Damn Good fishing and hunting guides. Our mission is to unlock the outdoors for everyone, and we want to help you get out there through our no-hassle online booking experience and our team of outdoors experts.
We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.
Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.
Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
Once you book the trip, we will connect you directly with the guide to go over any additional details. In the meantime, our team is always available to answer your questions via email, text, chat, or call!
