The majestic Tarpon has become the most sought-after game fish in Florida—especially between June and July. During this short window, these mammoth fish move up and down the coast, hunting for food. Tides, weather, and the phases of the moon play essential roles in Tarpon behavior, but in the spring and early summer, these kings of the inshore are always hungry, biting on both live and artificial bait. Get out there and test yourself against these prime gamefish with Captain Joe, an experienced Tarpon fisherman and one of our top guides the Gulf Coast of Florida. You'll also have the chance to hook up Blacktip and Bonnethead Sharks, Gag Grouper, and Snook, depending on your tackle and preferences.
On the day of the trip, you'll set out aboard Captain Joe's 23' Ranger bay boat—a perfect vessel for fishing the Florida inshore. It's equipped with everything you could possibly need for a successful and comfortable trip, and a 300 HP Mercury to put you on the fish fast! Captain Joe will provide everything you need, including top-of-the-line rods, reels, bait, and tackle, so that all you have to do is cast out, hook up, and then hold on for the fight of your life!

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.
Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
