I’ve been fishing these waters for over 30 years and with knowledge of the island and proper intel, I will decide what’s the best area to fish. Depending on the season, we fish primarily for yellowtail ,White Seabass , halibut calico bass , bonito , and barracuda. During the off-season we fish for halibut white seabass , rockfish , sheephead and whitefish . Don’t be surprised if we see kelp patty dorado, yellowtail , yellowfin tuna and bluefin tuna on our way there and back in the summer . I will definitely stop and try to get them hooked . This experience embarks at the time when I know we will reach our destination and when the fish have been showing up to feed . Normally we travel anywhere from 25-50 miles offshore to look for these mystical creatures . It’s a sight to see when you see 40-200lb tuna crashing in the water chasing bait .
