trip description for Dusk Till Dawn Trip - 26' Mako in North Charleston

Launch aboard Captain TJ's fully decked out 26' Center Console for a dusk-til-dawn fishing experience out of Charleston SC. Captain TJ will put all of his knowledge of fish habits, sea trends, and weather patterns toward getting you on these reef fish safely and in style! On this 12-hour trip, Captain TJ will keep you within 90 miles of the Charleston coast where you'll be going after some Amberjack, Blackfin Tuna, Cobia, Gag Grouper, King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Vermillion Snapper, and Wahoo. You'll mainly be bottom fishing or trolling on this trip. Whether you want to actively fish with rod-in-hand or lounge until a reel starts screaming, just let Captain TJ know and he'll get you set up with the best method and provide some expert instruction to make sure you get one on your line! Trolling trips are great because the boat and the knowledge of your captain do the "boring" part for you. Captain TJ will drop the throttle down to a couple knots and start surveying the horizon for birds and grass lines. The grass lines can provide structure for pelagics to congregate around and birds are usually an indicator of bait on the surface! Wahoo, King Mackerel, and Mahi Mahi, are just a couple of the potential species you could catch while you're out there, and there are plenty more species the productive waters of the Atlantic can offer up! When you go bottom fishing you'll hit the reefs, wrecks, and deepwater structures for some delicious table fare that puts up a fight! On these trips, you will be using heavy tackle rods and weighted live bait or jig hooks that you'll drop down into the murky depths of the Atlantic. You can expect to hook into a variety of Snapper and Grouper species like Red Snapper, Lane Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, Red Grouper and Gag Grouper, but you never know what the murky depths of the Atlantic will produce! Fishing the reefs you can also catch an occasional Amberjack, and Cobia just to name a few, and there are plenty more species the productive waters of the Atlantic can offer up! The boat you'll be fishing from is a 26-foot Mako 264. A true battle wagon designed for hardcore offshore fishing. She's equipped with twin 200 HP Suzuki engines, outriggers, VHF radio, Garmin radar, GPS, sonar satellite radio, bathroom, live wells, fishing boxes, sink, and top-of-the-line fishing equipment. Beyond superior service and a stylish ride, Captain TJ also provides the best rods, reels, tackle, bait, and fishing licenses you could possibly need for a successful day out on the water. Thus, all you need to bring is your favorite lunch, snack, and drink, your sun protection, maybe a towel, and your camera! Otherwise, Captain TJ will take care of the rest to make the most of your Charleston offshore adventure! Read More

Captain Tim was great all through, from early communication/coordination to execution of our 4 hour charter for 4 guys. He showed us how he netted baitfish, then we set up on bull redfish. We were into them quickly and everyone in our party boated fish. Then we relocated because we wanted to try for shark and once again we got on them quickly, and again we all boated fish. Bargain plan, one good size ray was also caught. Highly recommend you try booking Captain Tim.

Five stars for sure! Tim was great from start to finish, had everything we needed, put us on the fish and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our time catching fish. Would highly recommend, and one of the unusual things about Tim is, he is a Charleston native. Joe

Adrian was just awesome! He kept us up to date on weather and was flexible with date/time to make sure we went out at the best time. He got there early to make sure we were all set with plenty of bait and extra rods and reels ready to go. He even had an extra hat and sunglasses for our 16 yo who forgot his. He knew the best fishing spots and locations at each spot. He could cast within inches of his intended target, was very knowledgeable about the fish, and helped us release the sting ray and gar we accidentally caught. Very pleasant, hard working and very experienced! You can’t go wrong with Adrian!
