Experience the thrill of bottom fishing in the Gulf of Mexico with Captain Mike's offshore trips out of Orange Beach, Alabama! Step aboard his spacious and stable 36' Twin Vee Sportfish and get ready for an unforgettable fishing adventure.

Captain Mike takes safety seriously and will provide a thorough orientation and safety speech while you settle in before setting off for a motor offshore to the fishing grounds. How far offshore you go will depend on the time of year and the recent fishing conditions. Captain Mike will be targeting species that are in season (whatever species is bitting best to ensure you have the best opportunity to take home the biggest and most volume of fish). Captain Mike makes it a point that this is not a "Boat Tour" this is a FISHING TRIP so you can rest assured that he'll be doing everything in his power to get you on the fish.

The boat, a 36' Twin Vee sportfish features a 12' beam so you'll have plenty of room to move around on the boat and fight your fish. It also equipped with twin 350 Suzukis strapped to the back to get you offshore and to the fishing grounds in a hurry!

Captain Mike's love for the sea started at a young age. As a boy growing up in Perdido Bay, he spent most of his free time fishing, crabbing, and shrimping with his family. It was during these early experiences that he developed a passion for being on the water. He decided to turn his passion into a career and began working on charter boats in Orange Beach, Alabama after years. He started as a first mate on a six-passenger vessel and worked his way up to captain on multi-passenger boats that could accommodate up to 35 people. During his time as a captain, Captain Mike became known for his exceptional fishing skills and his ability to put his guests on the fish. He fished on some of the finest vessels in the area, including a 62-foot Resmondo.
Despite his success as a captain, Captain Mike decided to take a break from fishing to pursue a career in the oil and gas industry. He spent 10 years sailing to some of the most remote and challenging locations in the world, including the polar ice cap in the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas above the Arctic Circle and the warm waters of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. Throughout his maritime career, Captain Mike never lost his love for fishing. He continued to fish whenever he had the chance and always dreamed of returning to Orange Beach to start his own charter fishing business.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
