About Your Trip

Learn to fish new techniques and create lasting memories on the water while reeling in your personal best with Captain Alan!

Captain Alan will help you target the Barracuda, Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi / Dorado, Mako Shark, Wahoo, White Marlin, and Yellowfin Tuna that call these waters home. You can choose between a 4, 6, or 8-hour trip. Remember, the longer you fish the deeper you can go. The deeper the water, the bigger the fish get!

You’ll be fishing on Captain Alan’s 40-foot sportfisher equipped with a fighting chair, fishfinder, and live bait well, among other amenities. This boat can accommodate up to 6 anglers, so make sure you bring some good company!

Captain Alan will provide all rods, reels, tackle, lures, and drinks. You may bring drinks of your own as well as snacks of your choice. Don’t forget to bring a cooler to take home your day’s catch, as well as a hat and sunscreen.

Alan and his son Ian operate the 40-foot Gamefisherman Challenger. Capt. Alan has over 40 years of experience in the charter boat business. Ian has 21 years in the business. They love helping anglers of all ages and skill levels get out on the water and reel in their personal best!

Some of their notable accolades include winning the 1993 Blue Marlin World Cup Championship and the Inaugural Bermuda Big Game Classic 2001. Capt. Alan has to his credit, six of the largest blue marlin taken in Bermuda's waters, weighing over 1100+ lbs. 11301/2 lbs. (1983); 1190 lbs. (1989); 1195 lbs. (1993); 1153 lbs. and 1162 lbs. (1995); 1199 lbs. (2002).

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable (but if the weather is too bad to go out, you will still receive a credit back to your account).

If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
