About Your Trip

This full-day trip is designed to make the most of the world-renowned offshore fishing off the coast of San Diego.
This fisherman's paradise is fed by cold, rich water from deep in the Pacific, making this an extremely productive fishery from the inshore water all the way to deep offshore.

On this trip, Captain Ian will take you offshore where you can target pelagic species such as Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Yellowfin Tuna. The season will determine the fish you target, but all of these fish are amazing fighters and some of the best-eating fish anywhere in the ocean. On this trip, you'll primarily be trolling, using multiple baits and lures to attract these fast, aggressive fish. You will be using top-of-the-line gear, artificial lures, and hand-rigged bait. When a big Bluefin hits that hook, you'll know it! Tuna are some of the hardest-fighting fish in the sea, and they'll test your strength, stamina, and fishing skill, so be ready.

Captain Ian guides his trips aboard a 38' Phoenix sportfisher equipped with twin 420HP Caterpillar engines that provide a ton of speed to get you out there quick. This vessel is equipped with outriggers for trolling, flybridge, and a spacious cabin with bunks, a kitchenette, and more. She's ready to get you and your crew out on the offshore trip of a lifetime! All the rods, reels, bait, tackle, and gear is included. Just bring your California fishing license, sun protection, and polarized sunglasses and you'll be set to go!

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
