About Your Trip

This trip is for experienced anglers who want to master inshore fishing techniques and have a shot at the famous "inshore slam" (snook, redfish, trout) or to fill the cooler with fish to eat. Target Redfish, Snook, Trout, Grunts, Mackerel, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, and Grouper.

Captain Jason spends all his free time on the water learning fish habits and movements so you can go straight to the fish on the day of your trip. If you have a goal in mind for the day, Captain Jason is more than happy to try and chase down your next trophy, but he is also privy to which species are bitting best, and can help set expectations for you at the dock by providing expert advice on what tactics and species will be best to target that day.

You'll be fishing from Captain Jason's 22' Pathfinder powered by a 200HP Yamaha ProV. With the ability to glide through 12 inches of shallow water or head 9 miles offshore, the world is your oyster when you head out, as Captain Jason is able to target fish far off the beaten path. It comfortably fits 4 passengers plus the captain. Its most notable feature is the 10 foot custom scouting tower, which gives Captain Jason the advantage to scout fish from over 40 feet away! This fishing machine comes rigged with a 9" Garmin navigation system, 24V Minnkota iPilot trolling motor, and 2 live wells. And there is dry space to store your personal belongings and a cooler on board to keep your food and drinks cold for the day!

All of Captain Jason's trips depart from Wet Lines Bait & Tackle on Seminole Street in Clearwater. You will meet him there where he'll have the boat in the water, loaded with all necessary bait, tackle, and fishing licenses for an epic day of fishing. He will have a cooler filled with ice to keep all of your food and drinks cold. If you plan on keeping your catch, the captain will fillet and bag it for you as well.

Captain Jason recommends you bring any food and drink (especially water!) you would like to enjoy on your fishing adventure. Bring what you need to be comfortable outdoors for the length of your trip. Basic items to consider bringing based upon season and weather are sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, windbreaker, sweatshirt, etc. Captain Jason will also be in touch with you the day before your charter to make sure you are properly prepared for your saltwater adventure!

As a true Florida native, he discovered his love for fishing in his adolescence, fishing often with his father on Caladesi Island, Phillipe Park, and the Sunshine Skyway bridge. We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
