Head out with Skip and prepare for an action-packed day of Florida freshwater fishing! Lake Ida is a perfect sanctuary for freshwater fishing near the beautiful Florida coast. This trip is perfect for families, and kids are welcome!

On this trip, Skip will motor you out into Lake Ida where you can expect to target exciting species such as Peacock Bass, Clown Knifefish, and Largemouth Bass. The only method you'll need to catch these distinctive, colorful fish is classic light tackle. Just let Skip know what fish you want to catch and he'll get you set up with whatever's biting that time of year!

You'll be fishing aboard a 20’ G3 Deluxe bay boat that can comfortably fit 3 anglers. This do-it-all vessel will have no problem getting you to where the fish are biting!

Skip will provide all rods, reels, tackle, and live bait. All you need to bring is sunglasses, sunscreen, any snacks or drinks you might need and a Florida fishing license. He also includes a cooler stocked with ice and water. Book your trip today and get ready for an exciting freshwater trip!

Captain Skip grew up in upstate New York fishing all sorts of ponds, lakes, rivers and streams. In 1989 he moved to South Florida, and his love for fishing came with him. He fished the South Florida for 8 years before moving to the Lake Ida chain in 1997. If it ain't broke, don't fix it - He's been fishing the Lake Ida chain ever since!

Captain Skip runs a 20ft G3 deluxe bay boat which will fish up to 3 anglers comfortably. His specialties are Largemouth Bass, Peacock Bass, and Clown Knife Fish. Book an amazing trip with a guide who knows the Florida waters today!

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
