Head out with Captain Payton for a fun and memorable experience out on the waters around Destin, FL! Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn some basics or a more experienced angler looking for a new trophy, Captain Payton is an expert at catering your trip to your goals to ensure that you’ll have a day to remember.

On this trip, you'll hit a wide variety of inshore and nearshore species, from Triggerfish, Grouper and Snapper to Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, and more. You'll chase the bottomfish off the reefs and structure, and troll further out for the speedier open-water species. These fish are not only a blast to catch, they're delicious on the grill too!

Captain Payton runs a 22' Cape Horn center console. This boat ideal for running offshore to get on the Snapper bite, dropping deep to hook into bottom dwellers, and troll for other offshore targets. Be prepared to take home a cooler full of good eating for you and the whole family!

Your rods, reels, bait, tackle, licenses and fishing equipment are fully covered by the captain. You only need to pack your snacks, drinks, and sun protection. The captain will also clean and fillet your catch free of charge at the end of the day.

Captain Mag was great, very knowledgeable and we felt like we had a friend with us instead of a captain. We felt really comfortable with him and caught a lot of fish and when we go again we will only go with him on his boat. Highly, highly recommended.

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
