About Your Trip

Join Captain Dan to customize a perfect day on the water out of Fort Myers! Little fishing in the morning. Bring a picnic lunch at a private beach location. Little shelling in the afternoon, or if you'd rather chase your next trophy the whole time he can't help with that as well! Captain Dan is all about catering to your preferences and wants to help you plan a memorable experience!

Captain Dan likes to run
trips around Sanibel, Captiva, Cayo Costa, Pine Island, and Matlacha, but also runs trips in farther destinations like the Everglades, Cape Romano, and 10,000 Islands for an additional 75$ charge if you are interested in exploring a little further from home base! Depending on where you choose to go and what you’re aiming for, you could have opportunities at Redfish, Snook, and Trout, to Tarpon and a variety of Snapper species while out there with Dan.

Capt. Dan will supply everything you need for a productive day of fishing, including rods, reels, and tackle. Though he'll use live bait from time to time he is truly a master of artificial bait presentation and loves to show his clients the wonders of light tackle sight fishing. He’ll also provide bottled water, though you’re free to bring any other snacks and refreshments you’d like to enjoy. At the end of the day, he’ll clean and bag your catch for easy transport home.

Visiting Sanibel Island as a child, Captain Dan was always the one to disappear all-day fishing all around the Island. That expanded once he moved permanently in 1991. Now with over thirty years of exploring the area, he is happy to share his experience with those who enjoy being on the water.

He has owned several boats in the past. His favorite being an Indian River Canoe. He used to love getting into those really shallow creeks and oyster bars.
Fishing out of a Maverick 18 HPX, he'll take you to most of those shallow areas and still allow you to explore multiple locations in one trip!

Although he'll use live bait from time to time, he specializes in teaching the art of artificial lure presentations.

First Time Booking with Us?

Captain Experiences is the home of over 1500 Damn Good fishing and hunting guides. Our mission is to unlock the outdoors for everyone, and we want to help you get out there through our no-hassle online booking experience and our team of outdoors experts.
We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.
Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.
Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
Once you book the trip, we will connect you directly with the guide to go over any additional details. In the meantime, our team is always available to answer your questions via email, text, chat, or call!
