Are you ready to do battle with a fish that will test your strength, stamina, and fishing skills? If you can handle the challenge, the “Silver King” is the fish for you. It's no secret that Tarpon have become one of the most sought-after gamefish in Florida, and for good reason! These fish are as tough as they are beautiful, and are a worthy opponent for any angler.

In the spring and summer, these fish move up and down the coast, hunting for food. Tides, weather, and the phases of the moon play essential roles in Tarpon behavior, but these kings of the inshore are always hungry, biting on both live and artificial bait. Get out there and test yourself against these prime gamefish with Captain Taylor, an experienced Tarpon fisherman and great guide to this area.

On the day of the trip, you'll set out aboard Captain Taylor's 24' Century center console—the perfect boat for fishing the Florida inshore. It's equipped with everything you could possibly need for a successful and comfortable trip, including GPS, Fishfinder, Live Bait Well, and an Ice Box if you happen to catch some table fish. Tarpon are photo-only—please do your part to keep the population of these iconic fish healthy by leaving them in the water!

Captain Taylor will provide everything you need for this trip, including top-of-the-line rods, reels, bait, and tackle, so that all you have to do is cast out, hook up, and then hold on for the fight of your life! To maximize your time on the water, make sure to bring proper clothing, a hat, sunscreen, and a camera! Any trip with Captain Taylor is sure to be picture-worthy, and Tarpon are a particularly photogenic fish.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
