About Your Trip

When you show up to meet Captain Rich he will buzz you in through a private gate. Behind which his boat will be in the canal locked and loaded ready to go fish some of the most exclusive water on the Forgotten Coast.

Accompanied only by an occasional kayaker, Captain Rich will stalk out through the Canal to explore 1600 acres of private, pristine, and fish socked Mangrove heaven. This Mangrove forest spindles into hundreds
of fingers and tucked away flats before opening out in the Gulf of Mexico. With such little pressure, the fish are almost untouched.

So come spend the day fishing some of the most exclusive and pristine mangrove forests on the West Coast of Florida. Armed with a top-of-the-line spinning rod and the industry's best artificial lures Captain Rich will show you how to hook into snook, redfish, speckled trout, and jacks. If a flyrod is more your flavor Captain Rich would love nothing more than to guide you into your next personal best. So whether you're a first-time fisherman or a professional Captain Rich is a master at catching fish both, and will even take the time to teach you how to throw a fly around!

Whether you want to pick up the fly rod or on the spinning rod you will be spending most of your time hitting the numerous pot holes that are absolutely littered with fish or staking out on a sand bar waiting for big fish to swim by. Fishing license, tackle, bait, and a cooler supplied with ice will all be supplied. When you book with Captain Rich, you will be fishing on his 2018 Blue Wave 1900 STL tunnel hull, powered by a Suzuki 145 DF.

Captain Rich is extremely adept at catching fish, but he specializes in showing his clients an awesome time out on the water. As a retired Firefighter/Paramedic/Rescue Diver, Captain Rich also runs special trips for first responders and military veterans. Give us a call for details.

Independent Guide
Growing up in New England, fishing and the outdoors were not only a passion but an obsession for Captain Rich. He was invited to be a member of the famous Rod Jockeys fishing club (a sanctioned B.A.S.S. club). Through this club, he started to qualify for B.A.S.S. tournaments that led him to The American Bass Anglers circuit (needless to say, he was hooked!). During the long New England winters, he would spend Sunday mornings watching my fishing idol, Mr. Flip Pallot. With his poetic tone, he would throw a lure to the mangroves in some remote area of Florida, and he would fantasize about someday fishing those tropical waters.

Now he's in some of the most famous sportfishing waters in the world.

Rich worked in public safety for over 25 years as a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic/Rescue Diver. Captain Rich has dive certifications through P.A.D.I. (Advanced Open Water) and Dive Rescue International as a dive medic. Whether its Bass fishing on Lake Tarpon or flats/inshore fishing for Snook, Redfish, or just enjoying the pristine mangrove forest and wildlife abound, Captain Rich has is your one-stop shop for fun an unforgettable trip to the Forgotten Coast!
