When you get out there with Captain Randy on the flats, you're in for the ultimate hunt. Whether that's chasing cruising Permit, lurking Snook, or going after Lemon Shark on the bottom, you'll be out in it, casting to some of the top saltwater gamefish species in America! Islamorada is one of the fishing capitals of the world, and for good reason! The sportfishing here is absolutely legendary, and there's no better guide to the flats and inshore waters here than Captain Randy. He's a lifetime angler, a real pro, and he knows the water as well as anyone. On a typical day, Captain Randy will meet you at the dock behind the famed Lorelei Restaurant in the heart of Islamorada. (Note: Randy keeps his boat trailered, so he can accommodate other pickup locations as well). After you hop aboard his 18' Hells Bay poling skiff, you'll head out to either the Gulf side, or stay inland to scout out the flats and back bays. On the flats, Captain Randy will either pole you up a flat, or anchor his skiff with his pole to wait for fish to push through. Keep your eyes peeled for the shadow of a cruising fish! Captain Randy can provide all of the gear for your trip—if you need it—and he'll have a cooler with ice, water, and soft drinks ready to rock and roll. Feel free to bring a snack or pick up a sandwich from the Trading Post down the street on your way to the dock. You can also bring any other drinks of your choice as well to be stored in the cooler on board. Don't forget your polarized sunglasses. These are essential out on the flats to help eliminate glare and see the fish as quickly as possible! Read More

On this trip, you'll launch from one of the coolest marinas in the Florida Keys. Even the marina here is packed with Tarpon! You'll be able to watch 100-pound Tarpon cruising right next to the dock while you board Captain Mike's Action Craft skiff. Once on board, you'll discuss the game plan for the day. Whether you want to try for the inshore "grand slam" of a Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, and Snook, or if you want to fish for dinner, Captain Mike does it all and is willing to accommodate any technique you wish to use. He comes prepared, and will provide you with all the rods, tackle, live bait, or artificial lures you will need for a successful day out on the water. If you decide to chase the sport fish, Captain Mike will use his knowledge of the tides and weather to take you to the best Tarpon, Bonefish, or Permit flats in the area. On these beautiful clear water flats, Captain Mike will use his wireless trolling motor to stealthily sneak you across the flat to sightcast right to the fish! If you choose to bag some gamefish, Capt. Mike will put his 30+ years of experience to work taking you to all the secret channels, mangroves islands, and "honey holes" to help you catch your limits on delicious species including Mangrove Snapper, Redfish, Gag Grouper, and more. Plus, if fly fishing is your game of choice, Captain Mike just asks that you bring your own gear. He can also provide his own flies and fly rods as backup. Besides that, all you need to bring is your food and drink of choice, sunglasses, and a hat, and Captain Mike will take care of the rest on your Florida Keys fishing adventure! Read More

Captain Randy was kind, very knowledgeable of the area as well as where to find the giant Tarpon. We had a wonderful time talking about everything, getting to know one another and We appreciated his extensive knowledge of fishing the Islamorada waters. His equipment is new and tackle is spot on and we enjoyed every moment of our trip.

Great day out with Captain Billy B that I strongly recommend. When I said I wanted to catch trout, I was not expecting to catch over 50 on a 6 hour trip. Not only does Captain Billy know his fishing spots in the Everglades but he will also take the time to teach you how to improve your techniques. How to catch a fish at almost every cast. am sure he is great with kids. If you are looking for a monthly rental, or even buying a house in the area, he is also your man.

Great work Captain Phil. Had a good time on the boat and caught fish all through the 8 hour day. Even when the bite slowed down captain phil ran all over to get back on the bite. We had our trout limit within the first hour of the fishing. He showed me allot of tips for casting under mangroves. Looking forward to another trip soon.

Damn great time on the water with Ben. He was willing to quickly adjust to last minute changes (remember, when you are replying to messages from Captain Experiences they might not get to the guide you are using through them). Ben got us into multiple species of fish using various methods of angling. When our time was up, we had a few "keepers" that Ben filleted up for us. It was a perfect day on the water. Thanks for the great time Ben and, more importantly, thank you for your service to our country! DO NOT HESITATE to book a trip with Ben.

Had two great days on the water with captain Eric. Even though it was pretty windy Captain Eric put me in fish. Enjoyed the fishing and enjoyed my time on the water with captain Eric. Next time I'm in the Keys I will be looking forward to fishing with Captain Eric.

We truly enjoyed our fly fishing trip with Capt GW. His boat was clean and comfortable and Capt GW was very personable and knowledgeable. We had some tougher conditions with wind that allowed him to give me so much needed help and encouragement on techniques to help my skills. But alas, no adrenaline moments of catching backwater fish, just the adrenaline of trying to make the right cast in the right spot. We saw a great deal of sea life as an addition to the friendly camaraderie, and that was a bonus.

John Paul knew where the fish were and what they wanted to eat. We had a good day on the water with lots of spotted trout, some trevally, and a mangrove snapper. No snook or tarpon this early in the season (late Feb).

Wonderful trip. Wonderful captain. First rate. Gentle but firm with a rookie- just what I wanted. Just what I needed. He would have stayed out longer but my arms, they were jello. Also, incredibly informative about the different fisheries, the environment, the current challenges facing the keys - a joy to watch cast a fly, tie knots and an all-around nice guy - thanks Capt. GW for a first-rate introduction to fly-fishing in the keys. Kind regards, Pete L. (Yarmouth, Maine).

Captain GW was an awesome guide! As an angler I have a higher standard, however fishing with my 12 year old daughter, I was hoping that we’d get someone who was patient, knowledgeable and an all around good guy as well. Some guides are kinda too salty, but GW was great! Him and my daughter really hit it off, and he definitely put us on the fish, even with a hard wind. His boat kept us dry and rode really well despite the conditions. You can tell that he really loves what he does and enjoys the “total experience” of fishing these beautiful waters. We saw manatees, dolphin, all kinds of birds including flamingos! It was an awesome experience caught snook and redfish and had lots of action. Great guy, great boat, great experience.
