On this fishing trip with Captain Rob, you'll fish the inshore waters of Estero Bay, Matanzas Pass, and Southern Pine Island Sound, looking for a variety of species including Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, Seatrout, Spanish Mackerel, Pompano, and Gag Grouper (when in season). While Captain Rob can accommodate 6 guests having 6 rods going at the same time, making casts to surrounding fish becomes incredibly cumbersome. There's a little bit of everything on this trip; you'll get the enjoy the beautiful scenery, catch fun fighting fish, and take home an excellent dinner! You'll mix it up on this trip, using a combination of trolling and light-tackle fishing, changing your baits and lures depending on the weather, season, and target species. Captain Rob will take you out on his 25' SeaQuest center console, powered by a 300HP Suzuki engine. This boat is perfect for navigating the costal waters you'll be fishing. You will need to bring your sun protection, a hat, and some sunglasses and you'll be ready to hit the water. Be sure to pack an ice chest so that you can take home the tasty fish you'll catch! Captain Brandon was great! We took this trip with our 2 kids and he was awesome with them as well. He was very knowledgeable about the area and knew where the fish were biting. We all caught at least one fish (Our WI technique was not up to par with these FL fish!) Brandon decided to keep a few smaller ones and use as bait for a shark to see if we could catch one and threw the line out. We all had fun struggling to bring fish in, when the shark line started zipping and he had my husband take the pole! After about 20 min they got it in the boat! My kids were ecstatic! So despite not catching a ton of fish, we caught a shark and that was pretty awesome!! He even took the time at the dock to show the kids the crazy big fish in the marina and how they go nuts for anything in the water. Highly recommend Captain Brandon!
