Spend the first part of your day wearing out the Redfish, Trout, Flounder, and Black Drum out in the Galveston Bay Complex, and finish your adventure out on the Jetties where you never know what you're going to catch! Your welcome to determine how you'd like to allocate your time as well, if the bay is hot your welcome to stay inshore, and if your looking to spend all your time out the Jetties, Captain Brantley can make it happen. He will suggest which is best but ultimately, he is there to please. We will start in the bay and as it gets later in the morning head to the jetties. The jetties are full of unknowns. If you have young children, we highly suggest these trips due to fast action and a lot of it! Captain Brantley can rig up for sharks too if you'd like! If you're looking to run a full-day trip, Captain Brantley suggests the fall and early spring. Heat exposure is always a risk during the summertime that will affect even avid anglers, and though his boat has a T-top, all day in that Texas heat can be taxing! Captain David conducts these trips using his 24’ Shallow Sport center console which can accommodate up to 4 anglers. This vessel is meant for those shallow hotspots and makes for a smooth ride to and from your destination. When fishing with Captain David, you’ll be fishing light tackle gear as you drift the bays with popping corks or site fish the shallows for cruising fish. We will meet at a predetermined location that is best for you and provides quick access to fishing. I provide the rods, reels, tackle and bait for the day. I just need you to bring your drinks and snacks in a small cooler and to make sure everyone has a valid fishing license. We will fish from my 24’ Sea Pro with Suzuki 200 hp engine to get there fast, using live bait most days; we will fish reefs, jetties or other structure around Galveston Bay. Once we are done we will return to the dock where I will clean and filet your fish and package them in gallon ziplock bags. Do we fish if it’s raining or windy? Safety is a priority. If there are severe storms in the area or if the wind is out of control, I’ll suggest we delay or try to reschedule the trip.
