trip description for Nearshore Sharks in Galveston

Hop on board with Captain Robert and prepare for an action-packed day of shark fishing! If you're craving some excitement, this trip is for you. Captain Robert is used to catching sharks so big that they won't fit on board! On this 6 to 8-hour trip, Captain Robert will take you up to 20 miles off the coast of Galveston where you can expect to target Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, and Bull Shark. These species in particular can exceed 6 feet in length! To attract these massive predators you'll be using heavy-duty fishing techniques such as heavy tackle, bottom fishing, and trolling. Captain Robert fishes aboard a 30’ Grady White center console, with a capacity for six people. Powered by twin 250 HP Yamaha engines, the vessel is safe and steady on its way offshore and even has a bathroom. The vessel is complete with a GPS and a fishfinder to help you get one on your line. Captain Robert will provide all rods, reels, and tackle. All you need is a valid Texas fishing license as well as some food and drinks. These family-friendly trips can host up to 6 people, so make sure you bring some good company! Read More

trip description for Galveston Inshore Jetty Trip in Galveston

Depending on conditions, you might hook into Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Blacktip Shark, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Jack Crevalle, and anything else that bites. Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! For baby life vests please ask ahead of time, these are not typically kept in the boat unless requested. Captain Corey has four kids (two teenagers, and two under the age of five) therefore, he keeps a "Kids Only Snack Stash" on the boat, just remember to send over any allergies ahead of time! Your adventure begins aboard a 23’ Sea Pro center console with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself. A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary. Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. Don’t leave home without sunscreen, sunglasses, and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Now, come aboard with us and get hooked! Read More

trip description for Galveston Bay Fishing - 5 hour in Galveston

We will meet at a predetermined location that is best for you and provides quick access to fishing. I provide the rods, reels, tackle and bait for the day. I just need you to bring your drinks and snacks in a small cooler and to make sure everyone has a valid fishing license. We will fish from my 24’ Sea Pro with Suzuki 200 hp engine to get there fast, using live bait most days; we will fish reefs, jetties or other structure around Galveston Bay. Once we are done we will return to the dock where I will clean and filet your fish and package them in gallon ziplock bags. Do we fish if it’s raining or windy? Safety is a priority. If there are severe storms in the area or if the wind is out of control, I’ll suggest we delay or try to reschedule the trip. There’s no sense in going out and being uncomfortable, and I will never put us in danger. But if it’s just a little rain, let’s go – the fish are already wet! Read More

We had an excellent time with Captain Mike. He not only takes you to where the fish are but educates you on how to fish for a particular species. Very kind and very knowledgeable. II wish I could give him more than 5 STARS. I will definitely use Mike as my future guide.

We had an amazing time with Captain Steve and Chris. They were very knowledgeable about the areas and where good spots to fish were. We visited several different spots inshore and caught tons of fish! They were absolutely incredible when it came to showing us how to use the fishing poles, bait the hooks and helping us once we caught the fish. If we had any questions/issues with the poles, they helped us out. My family and I had an incredible time with them and were surprised at how much we caught! Captain Steve even cleaned the fish for us and bagged up the fillets so we did not need to worry about that. All around great time and my family is already talking about taking another trip out with them later this year.

Whenever I'm in Galveston or Houston for conventions group of us charters a fishing trip. Charles put us on fish and we put a variety of species in the boat...no limits, but fishing was steady. He unhooked and baited us up all day.. We typically fish CC to Pt Isabel in the Laguna Madre 15 or more times a year and boat 50 plus Trout each limits oof reds drum and flounder. We are experienced and I have a 23' Shoalwater and have fished the area since I was 10 years old. I have won numerous inshore tournaments inncluding THe Pt A DSR twice and Pt Mansfiield Tournament. over the years. Capt Charles knows the water and we found working bait... ifyou got baitfish... you have preditors. Great trip. Buster Williams
