Heavy Tackle Fishing Charters In Virginia Beach

These trips are 7-8 hours and will find us venturing anywhere from 3-20 miles out of the inlet. We will be doing everything from live baiting and jigging the towers to trolling for faster game species. These trips target numerous species, Amberjack, Blackfin Tuna, Kingfish, Mahi and some possible Sailfish encounters. This is a 8-9-hour trip that will have us anywhere from 20-30 miles offshore working depths from 180-350 foot. The primary targets will change depending on the season and your desires, but Tilefish, Seabass, Kingfish, Amberjack are the main targets with some suprises always lurking down there. This will have you doing the fishing, we will be fishing dead bait, live bait as well as jigging. This is a fun trip, you get to sleep in a little later and be back home in time for an afternoon siesta before frying up those tasty bottom fish you just caught. A Nearshore adventure consists of a few more options like fishing the Chesapeake Bay or from the Bay Bridge Tunnel to the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay for species like Striped Bass(Rockfish), Flounder, Croaker, Spot, Red Drum, Cobia, Sheepshead, Spadefish and Shark. Another charter destination we head to is the Chesapeake Light Tower (14 miles from Rudee Inlet), where you will fish for Black Sea Bass, Tautog, Sheepshead, Cobia, Flounder and Spadefish. Spadefish is a great fight pound for pound on light tackle. Another option available is to stop at some of the nearshore wrecks located along the Virginia Beach coastline up to 25 miles from Rudee Inlet. There you will be targeting Black Sea Bass, Spadefish, Flounder, Triggerfish, Tautog, and Shark. These are great trips to fill up your cooler after a long day on the water — you may even get a chance to see other marine life such as dolphins, whales and sea turtles.
