On this trip, you will target the Lake Pontchartrain Kraken, a mythical monster that has been snapping fisherman’s rods and steel leaders around the Lake!

If you can't manage to hook the beast, you'll still be able to go after trophy Alligator Gar, Bull Reds, and the infamous Lake Pontchartrain Bull Sharks! These species are a blast to catch, and they can open up a serious can when hooked. Captain Mack will take you to the best fishing holes and feeding grounds on the Lake, and make sure you have the best possible gear and tackle to hook up some monsters!

This trip is typically "CPR" (Catch, Photo, Release). If you want to keep fish, let your captain know and he can make sure to find some slot fish. Get out there and have a blast!

Packing / Extras

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
The deposit for this trip is non-refundable (but if the weather is too bad to go out, you will still receive a credit back to your account).
If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

Mackie is very knowledgeable about the lake and has great patience. Within minutes after stopping I had a 20" redfish and Eddie had one hooked in the front of the boat. While we were reeling in, Kenny started fighting a 28"er!!
