Get ready to explore the inshore and nearshore waters off of Hatteras, NC with Captain Aaron! This trip is perfect for those looking to tackle the classic North Carolina inshore sportfish—Redfish, Spotted Trout, Black Drum, and Flounder—as well as some hard-fighting nearshore species such as Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, and King Mackerel. This trip is a perfect opportunity to practice your cast and retrieve with a variety of different lures and baits. In particular, Cobia are perfect sightcasting fish, because they like to hang out near the water's surface, and are as fun to catch as they are delicious to eat.

You'll get off the dock aboard your guide's 24' KenCraft—an ideal type of vessel for fishing everything from flats to estuaries to nearshore structure. Captain Aaron will come prepared with everything you need for a great day, including top-of-the-line rods, reels, bait, and tackle. He's an expert in these waters and will do everything he can to get you hooked up on a personal best! Bring along proper clothing, sunscreen, and a pair of polarized sunglasses to maximize your time on the water.

Captain Aaron caught the fishing bug early on, watching his dad land a Blue Marlin as a kid. He's been hooked ever since!
His fishing travels have taken him fishing from the Carolinas to the Caribbean and beyond. He's fished in South Florida for Tarpon, Snook, Snapper, and Cobia, and in the Virgin Islands for Blue and White Marlin, Wahoo, Tuna and Dolphin (Mahi Mahi).
Most recently, Captain Aaron has focused on the great back-country fishing of Cape Hatteras' Pamlico Sound. It has several different environments, from shallow flats to nearshore structure, that house a wide variety of gamefish species.
His specialty is inshore light tackle fishing and live baiting, and his goal is to provide you a fishing experience that keep you coming back, year after year.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable (but if the weather is too bad to go out, you will still receive a credit back to your account).

If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
