About Your Trip

If you're looking for the perfect combination of drag-screaming action, beautiful scenery, and calm waters, then this trip is meant for you. North Carolina's Outer Banks is a widely known as world-renowned fishing destination, but its vast, interconnected network of protected inshore sounds is sometimes overlooked. This inshore environment is ideal for hooking up a record fish, whether you're chasing a personal best Redfish, or a variety of other species, including Speckled Trout, Flounder, Striped Bass, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Sheepshead, Cobia, Tarpon, and more.

On this trip, you'll employ several different techniques, from casting artificial lures to jigging the bottom to live-baiting. Captain Jerry is a true expert fisherman who has fished all over the world, from the Bahamas to Belize and back, and knows exactly how to put you in the best position to catch prizewinners.

On the day of the trip, you'll get off the dock aboard Captain Jerry's 25' Parker center console. This is the perfect type of boat for fishing the inshore waters off of Hatteras, with a bow that's made to cut through the chop and a comfortable cabin area.
Plus, she's powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine, so you'll be on the fish in no time.
Bring along a pair of polarized sunglasses, a hat, proper clothing, and sunscreen to maximize your experience on the water!

Captain Jerry is an expert fisherman and a top-tier guide, having fished professionally for more than 30 years. He's chased gamefish in North, South, and Central America, and if you can name it, he's probably hooked it. Captain Jerry first started chartering professionally in 1980, hunting sailfish from Palm Beach to Key West. Shortly thereafter, he focused on competing in King Mackerel tournaments everywhere from Morehead City, NC all the way to Texas.
In the late 1980s, Captain Jerry focused
more heavily on the "big game"—Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Wahoo, and Mahi. This took him from North Carolina down to the Bahamas, Venezuela, Mexico, Costa, Rica, Belize, and elsewhere.
By the later '90s, Captain Jerry was spending most of his time in Hatteras, going after the classic NC gamefish: Redfish, Spotted Trout, Flounder, and Drum. He is now a full time Hatteras Island resident and charters exclusively for inshore species. A genuine master fisherman, Captain Jerry loves nothing more than showing you a great time on the water and helping you land a personal best, whether you're a seasoned angler or a rookie.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.
Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
Once you book the trip, we will connect you directly with the guide to go over any additional details. In the meantime, our team is always available to answer your questions via email, text, chat, or call!
