About Your Trip

The cold, rich Pacific currents that flow along Oregon's coast make the Pacific Ocean or Tillamook Bay a crabbing paradise! On this trip, Captain Craig will get you out into the Bay or ocean to drop crab pots for Dungeness Crab, which are a delicious and easy species to catch.

Crab cooking and cleaning included, Captain Craig will make sure that you're equipped with the right gear and tackle to get the job done.

You'll be hanging out aboard Captain Craig's 29’ D Tech, that can accommodate up to 6 guests. The boat is powered by a Suzuki 250 engine and mercury prokicker motor with Garmin electronics. The boat is wheelchair accessible and he encourages all guests with disabilities to join him on board and encourage sharing the adventure with kids as well.

With all the tackle provided, you just need to bring sunscreen and your Shellfish Licenses.

Craig runs his guide service out of Garibaldi, Oregon. He operates his trips on the Nehalem Bay and the Columbia River, home of the world-famous Buoy 10 salmon and sturgeon fishery, from Astoria to the Bonneville Dam. Whatever location you choose, you will be fishing the best spots with the greatest chance of catching fish. With over 40 years of fishing experience, Craig knows how to create an exciting trip.

Fishing out of a 29’ D Tech, he can accommodate up to 6 anglers. The boat is powered by a Suzuki 250 engine and Yamaha kicker motor with Garmin electronics. The boat is wheelchair accessible and he encourages all guests with disabilities to join him on board and encourage sharing the adventure with kids as well. He likes to implement a whole suite of different fishing techniques such as trolling, jigging and spinning to suit the fishery.

He offers a wide range of fishing trip choices including crabbing, sturgeon fishing (retention season as well as catch and release), trolling for salmon and bottom fishing for ling cod, black bass and halibut, weather permitting. He also drops crab pots every ocean trip.

All anglers who book a trip are entered into the annual end of year drawing for a free trip!

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
