Tarpon are acrobats of the ocean and put on a spectacular show in the air! Whether you’re using rod and reel or fly fishing, these sometimes 100 plus pound fish love to fight hard. Tides, weather, and moon phases play an essential factor in a Tarpon’s behavior, but these kings are always hungry, biting on both live and artificial bait. Bring your camera because catching a tarpon is a stunning experience that you will want to capture. These fascinating sport fish are catch and release. It only takes one battle with these prehistoric creatures to become completely mesmerized, and you’ll be longing to catch more.

You’ll be fishing aboard Captain Angel's 22' Nautic Star Sport 2200 powered by a 150 HP Suzuki engine. She can accommodate 6 anglers and has 2 live bait wells on board. This boat is equipped with Garmin electronics will get you to where the fish are biting.

Captain Angel will provide everything you need for a productive day on the water. He will have all rods, reels, tackle, and live bait (included in the price). Trips also include bottled water and a variety of soft drinks, but be sure to bring any snacks that you might need!

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.
Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
