About Your Trip

Head out with your pro guide Derek for an action-packed day of whacking the Bass on Lake Bastrop. This lake is filled with mostly Largemouth, but Derek occasionally targets Stripers, Sandbass, and Catfish as well. He likes to target these species on light tackle gear using a variety of bass soft plastic and hard baits. Whichever flavor suits your fancy, Derek can definitely accommodate.

Derek can take up to 2 guests on these half-day adventures. You will be fishing aboard his 18ft bass boat, which is suited to all your needs on Lake Travis. The vessel is powered by a 115 Yamaha engine that will power you across the smooth surface of the lake with speed. Derek masterfully guides the vessel to put you on your prey, taking you to his favorite fishing holes on the lake.

Derek can provide all the fishing gear for you: rods, reels, artificial lures, and light tackle for you, but encourages you to bring your own if you'd like as well. Otherwise feel free to bring your favorite snacks, drinks, and don't forget your Texas fishing license. Get ready to whack some bass!

This charter was launched after the team participated in many angler events for underprivileged children that had no opportunities to ever be on the water. Other events included those that loved to fish with no access to a boat and fishing tournaments for bragging rights that included nine Central Texas lakes. The realization of being able to offer someone the chance to be on a body of water and feel that tug at the end of the line became our mission. Our trip packages not only share an angler experience but are also designed to build confidence and teamwork. Our Fishing Guides use their fishing expertise in this charter that will last for a lifetime. Photo opportunities will be plentiful to hang on your wall or place on your office desk.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable (but if the weather is too bad to go out, you will still receive a credit back to your account).

If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
