Get ready for an action packed day up in North Texas! Blake's combo duck and hog hunts combine the excitement of duck hunting in the morning with the thrill of hog hunting in the evening, for a garrunteed unforgettable adventure in the heart of North Texas.

Blake and his team are based in Montague county in North Texas, and offer these badass duck hunting/hog hunting combo trips on their surrounding properties and leases. The duck hunts start at legal shooting time and are usually wrapped-up by 9:00 or so but you can hunt till 10:00 if you haven't reached your limit. They hunt only private lakes, most of which are on farms and hold lots and lots of ducks and geese. They have access to and hunt over 60 lakes, starting in the Bowie/Bellevue area and headed north to the Red River. Blake and his team will take care of the decoys, the dogs, and the blinds. All you need to bring is your camo, shotguns, shells and snacks and drinks.

After wrapping up the morning duck hunt, they extend the adventure to include an evening hog-hunting leg of the trip, so you can make the most out of your time in North Texas. Blake and his team will guide you to prime hog hunting locations in the same area. North Texas is known for its abundant hog population, providing an excellent opportunity to add some thrilling hog hunting to your trip.

For this hog hunting portion, Blake's team will continue to provide the necessary equipment and expertise. They will ensure you have access to well-maintained blinds and an experienced guide who knows the best hog hunting spots.

To participate in the combo duck and hog hunts, you'll still need to bring your own camo, shotguns, ammunition, and any personal preferences for snacks and drinks.

When Blake started guiding hunts several years ago, he hunted dove, deer, hogs, and exotics. Those have always been his bread and butter, since then they've added turkey hunts and duck hunts, both of which have turned out to be huge successes as well! One major key Blake and his team have learned over the years is that everyone has their own idea of what hunting is all about. Some people want to just relax in a blind and wait for that monster buck, some enjoy the rush you get when you hear a bunch of big pigs grunting and fighting their way to the feeder, or stalking around on foot using nature to your advantage to bag your quarry. All of which and more are great options! But to that affect, Blake and his team have decided to be open to all hunting methods and are happy to customize the hunt for you and your expectations!

So we have added a couple of guides to our operation that enjoy all of those things, too. Whether your a seasoned hunter or the new guy wanting to learn, we have a hunt tailor-made for you. Hope to see you soon.

Packing / Extras

You'll need to bring your own shotgun, plenty of steel shot shells (we recommend 3" #4s or #2s), full camo with face mask, snacks & drinks. Some places we hunt do require waders so be sure and ask when booking your hunt. And don't forget your valid Texas hunting license with federal duck stamp. A flashlight and/or headlamp always comes in handy.

You'll need to buy a hunting license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Blake will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
