Trips are offered on Lake Travis and Walter E. Long Lake (aka Lake Decker). This is a premium fishing charter offering trips from a new fully loaded Phoenix 921 elite with a Mercury 300R, provides high end Shimano and Dobyn's rods combos and delivers an unparalleled level of professionalism and service.

About Capt. Tyler:
I grew up in Southern California and caught the fishing addiction at a young age. I spent every summer hanging out at the docks where my grandpa kept his sailboat, bumming rides to the local lakes whenever I could, and fishing for anything and everything I could catch. I grew up doing a lot of saltwater fishing too, but bass fishing, in particular competitive tournament fishing is my passion. I moved to Texas in 2010 to attend Baylor University, where I eventually became their collegiate bass fishing team's president. After graduating college I moved to Austin for a job in real estate, but soon realized being outdoors makes me a lot happier than sitting behind a computer. What began as a part time gig turned into a full time career with the support of my wonderful wife. Unlike a lot of the other guides in this area I do this full time and spend over 250 days a year on the water.

Fishing is my passion and I love sharing that with my clients. Something you'll find unique about my approach to guiding is that it's very educational. Not only will I put you on fish I will also teach you things like how to locate fish, why we are fishing certain areas, why we are throwing particular baits, how weather and lake conditions affect the bass etc. etc. I even offer a special trip I call my Coaching Trips, these trips are all about education and less about running my honey holes. If you're looking to learn message me for more information about this type of trip.

I pride myself on offering a premium fishing trip and creating a memorable and fun experience for my clients. Simply put, my business model focuses on turning you into a repeat customer. The way I see if, if I make sure you have an awesome time you'll want to come back again... it's a win win! I am also very personable and easy to talk to and get along with. If you've fished with enough charters you know that every once and a while you get stuck with some salty ol' captain who isn't overly friendly, doesn't talk much, or barks orders at you. That's not me, I'll keep you chatting and laughing the whole trip, all while keeping you on the fish. I'm great with kids too, if you've got youngin's over 5 years old, bring them along and let's introduce them to the sport of fishing!

I would love to be the guide to get you out on the water!

How did you get started guiding?
I used to work in real estate and lending, which gives you a bit of a flexible schedule. I started guiding part time after work and on weekends to cover the cost of owning a boat and tournament entry fees. Eventually it started growing with more word of mouth, I started getting repeat customers, my social media started getting me clients and it snowballed into making the decision to do it full time.
What makes you different from other guides?
Fishing is my passion, I don't guide to make a quick buck on the weekends, I do it because I'm obsessed with fishing and it allows me to be outside in nature all the time. I also love teaching people to fish and enjoy all the different kinds of people I meet doing it. Some of my best friends started off as paid clients.
