About Your Trip

This trip is perfect for hunters and anglers who want to do it all in South Texas! On this cast-and-blast trip, you'll hunt all morning and fish all afternoon, without breaking the bank. Your guide and outfitter, Brandon, has years of experience hunting and fishing the South Texas coast, and will put you right on the birds and the fish!

In terms of wingshooting, South Texas is smack in the center of the Central Flyway, and is a stopover for dozens of migratory waterfowl specied. The sheltered bays here draw hundreds of thousands of ducks annually, including Green-Winged and Blue-Winged Teals, Cinnamon Teals, Wigeons, Redheads, Pintails, Gadwalls, and Mottled Ducks. You can target all of these species, which are exciting quarries and great eating.
Brandon will provide you with the blind and all the decoys, and just asks that you bring your own waders, guns, ammunition (non-toxic shot only), and a good attitude. The ducks are already on their way—what are you waiting for?!

For fishing, Matagorda Bay is a premier fishing area for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and more. You'll get out there aboard Brandon's 21' Shoalwater bay boat —an ideal boat for inshore and nearshore fishing. Captain Brandon will make sure you're hooked up with the best tackle to find your target species, and he'll do everything he can to help you pull a personal best over the rail, fill your cooler, or both.

Captain Brandon and his crew offer a variety of Matagorda fishing charters for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and more, as well as hunting trips for ducks in the fall and winter months.

Fishing West Matagorda Bay, Espiritu Santo Bay, and San Antonio Bay, they'll run out to wherever the fish are biting, which usually isn't far from the famous fishing town of Port O'Connor, Texas. Fly around on Captain Brandon's 2014 21' Shoalwater flats boat, equipped with GPS and fishfinders, a livewell to keep live bait fresh, and top quality tackle.

Captain Brandon has been guiding the waters around Port O’Conner for years, and has been fishing his entire life. Don't forget a cooler for a little catch and cook, and have a blast fishing out of historic Port O'Connor!

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Brandon will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
