Hit the water with Captain Jay and experience an amazing day of inshore fishing!

Captain Jay will help you target Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and many more species of fish on your 4-hour (half-day) or 7-hour (full day) adventure through Rockport’s various bays and flats.

He encourages his anglers to use various fishing techniques to catch the attention of those big fish. These techniques include, but are not limited to, trolling, jigging, and even popping.

Captain Jay will provide everything you need for a productive day on the water, except a fishing license, which you’ll need to bring with you. Bring snacks as well.

Captain Jay is passionate about introducing young people to outdoor life at every opportunity. Bring your kids aboard and, who knows, maybe one day they’ll repay the favor and bring you back to Captain Jay!

Born into a family of avid anglers, Captain Jay's fished the inshore Texas water since a very young age. Raised in Galveston before the family moved South when he was 14. Taking after his father, Captain Jay began his fishing career competing in several Bass tournaments, and even guided clients in competition.

With a lifetime's experience under his belt, Captain Jay knows what it takes to provide a fantastic end-to-end fishing experience.

The only thing you'll need to worry about is spotting the first Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Triple Tail, or whatever other inshore species cross your path. Captain Jay will have you ready to cast as he provides quality Waterloo and Shimano rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and artificial lures.

You'll be fishing aboard Captain Jay's 23’ Shoalwater Catamaran, which offers one of the smoothest-rides around. With a shallow base, she’s suitable for all kinds of shallow water and all types of fishing. Powered by a 200 HP Mercury Pro XP motor, you'll be gliding across the bay system at up to 50 knots.

This fishing vessel features everything you need for a safe and productive day on the water, including all necessary safety gear, a fishfinder, GPS, and a live well to keep your bait fresh.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
