About Your Trip

Captain Jason will customize your trip to your preferences. On your pre-trip call he will advise what has been working recently, but will fish the way you prefer. Fishing out of the boat with cut or live bait for reds, speckled trout or black drum. Drifting the flat with live shrimp under popping corks or lures and soft plastics. Wading shorelines with lures or live bait. It is your trip and wants you to have fun.
He fishes primarily for reds, speckled trout and black drum. If you catch a limit of the targeted species or they are simply not bitting, he will always look for feeding fish to catch. His goal is to keep your fishing rods bent and you having fun for the full 6 hours. Typically he launches from Cove Harbor North next to Paradise Key Restaurant. On the pre-trip call launch locations can be changed, depending on the type of trip or bay to be fished. All launch locations changes will be agreed to by both parties on pre-trip call. For parties larger than 4 people he works either several boats to accommodate big parties.

Captain Jason has been fishing the Texas Coast from Port O’Conner to Baffin Bay since he was a teenager. He has been a full time hunting guide for 24 years. And currently CEO of Ox Ranch in Uvalde Texas. Where he manages 18,000 acre premier hunting ranch. He got his Captain license in the summer of 2022, so he could share his passion of fishing with his clients. He has been fishing the Aransas Pass and Rockport Area from March to October almost every weekend for the last 4 years. He works with several other guides in Rockport area so can accommodate large groups and keep his clients on fish. He loves fishing with kids and welcomes them aboard.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Jason will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
