On a full-day charter, you can head up to 25 miles out to target some of the biggest fish out there like Blue and White Marlin, Wahoo, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and more. Or you can hang closer to shore to target Snapper, King Mackerel, and Cobia to head home with enough fish to fill the freezer. When you get out there with Captain Randy on the flats, you're in for the ultimate hunt. Whether that's chasing cruising Permit, lurking Snook, or going after Lemon Shark on the bottom, you'll be out in it, casting to some of the top saltwater gamefish species in America! Islamorada is one of the fishing capitals of the world, and for good reason! The sportfishing here is absolutely legendary, and there's no better guide to the flats and inshore waters here than Captain Randy. He's a lifetime angler, a real pro, and he knows the water as well as anyone. On a typical day, Captain Randy will meet you at the dock behind the famed Lorelei Restaurant in the heart of Islamorada. (Note: Randy keeps his boat trailered, so he can accommodate other pickup locations as well). After you hop aboard his 18' Hells Bay poling skiff, you'll head out to either the Gulf side, or stay inland to scout out the flats and back bays. On the flats, Captain Randy will either pole you up a flat, or anchor his skiff with his pole to wait for fish to push through. Keep your eyes peeled for the shadow of a cruising fish! Captain Randy can provide all of the gear for your trip—if you need it—and he'll have a cooler with ice, water, and soft drinks ready to rock and roll. Spiny Lobster or Florida Lobster are found in various water depths through the Florida Keys, they are fun to catch and are excellent table fare. Each year there is a two-day mini-season, pre-season opener, which occurs on the last consecutive Wednesday and Thursday in July, Lobster hunting during the mini-season is 300$ more expensive per trip. The regular eight-month Lobster season runs from August 6th-March 31st. Florida Lobsters are found hiding under coral heads, rock ledges, holes, or really anything that they can back into and get some shelter. We catch them in depths from three feet to 150+ feet of water, making them a great hunt for any age or experience level. We catch spiny lobster with a net and tickle stick, lobster snare, or by simply grabbing them. Keep in mind, these lobsters DO NOT have claws. Each guest is allowed to take six lobsters per day and your lobster license is included with your charter. This is an inshore fishing trip staying relatively close to shore, only venturing out a couple of miles to the shallow Patch Reef’s. We will target such species as Yellowtail, Snapper, Mangrove, Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Groupers, and Barracuda.
