Captain Phil offers backwater fishing adventures for the entire family and for serious anglers. Backwater fishing excursions can be day or night trips, fishing from Naples Bay to 10,000 Islands to Everglades National Park, for tarpon, snook, trout, pompano, tripletail, sharks, and more. You'll be headed out aboard Captain Phil's 24′ Avenger bay boat, which comfortably seats up to 6 people, with a t-top to shade you from the incessant South Florida Sun. Children and Pets are always welcome! Captain Phil will provide all the fishing gear (rods, reels, tackle, bait), fishing licenses, water, ice. Anything else you’d like to eat or drink you should bring along with you. Though there is usually ample room in our onboard coolers, you may bring a small cooler for your provisions if you’d prefer. In the summer months, it's gonna be hot, but long-sleeved shirts are highly recommended to protect you from the sun, especially utilizing anti-UV protective clothing. The bottom fishing off of SW Florida can be described as nothing short of excellent. The only downside to the fishing on this coast is you need to make longer runs to get to the fishy waters. It is my opinion that the quality of fish increases dramatically the further you go out. With this said, a good quantity of fish can be caught on all trips, but the quality is the variable. For your best chance at landing a trophy, read through the blurbs to set the right expectations and select the right trip for your goals. This is a nice trip to catch some fish and bring a few home to eat. We will catch keeper sized grouper on this trip.
