This trip with Captain John is a great way to enjoy some of the best fishing that the Gulf Coast has to offer! The Galveston Bay Complex—including East Bay, West Bay, and Trinity Bay—offers extraordinary fishing for a number of shallow-water species, including classic Texas gamefish like Flounder, Redfish, Sheepshead, and Speckled Trout. To hook up on these species, you'll be using light tackle techniques along with some drifting and bottomfishing to draw bites. You'll fight the fish from Captain John's 24' Shoalwater bay boat, a versatile boat that's ideal for this type of trip. She runs on a 300-HP Suzuki outboard, and features a bunch of amenities to increase your chances of success and keep you comfortable, including a full suite of electronics, live wells for bait, a T-Top to keep you out of the direct sun, and an ice box for your keepers. Captain John will provide everything you need for an epic trip, including rods, reels, baits, and tackle. We had an excellent time with Captain Mike. He not only takes you to where the fish are but educates you on how to fish for a particular species. Very kind and very knowledgeable. II wish I could give him more than 5 STARS. I will definitely use Mike as my future guide.

We had an amazing time with Captain Steve and Chris. They were very knowledgeable about the areas and where good spots to fish were. We visited several different spots inshore and caught tons of fish! They were absolutely incredible when it came to showing us how to use the fishing poles, bait the hooks and helping us once we caught the fish. If we had any questions/issues with the poles, they helped us out. My family and I had an incredible time with them and were surprised at how much we caught! Captain Steve even cleaned the fish for us and bagged up the fillets so we did not need to worry about that. All around great time and my family is already talking about taking another trip out with them later this year.

Nicholas Y. with Brandon M. of Galveston, Texas

When fish weren’t bitting, captain was Johnny on the spot to get us to a new spot in order to catch fish. We had a great time on our 6 hour trip and came back with plenty to eat! Whenever I'm in Galveston or Houston for conventions group of us charters a fishing trip. Charles put us on fish and we put a variety of species in the boat...no limits, but fishing was steady. He unhooked and baited us up all day.. We typically fish CC to Pt Isabel in the Laguna Madre 15 or more times a year and boat 50 plus Trout each limits oof reds drum and flounder. We are experienced and I have a 23' Shoalwater and have fished the area since I was 10 years old. I have won numerous inshore tournaments inncluding THe Pt A DSR twice and Pt Mansfiield Tournament. over the years. Capt Charles knows the water and we found working bait... ifyou got baitfish... you have preditors. Great trip. Buster Williams
