Our incredible package includes the opportunity to bag one meat hog weighing up to 174 lbs – an experience not to be missed for any hunting enthusiast! Additional hogs can be shot at a fee of $50 per hog as well, but one is included in your booking. Cruising around Ian's property in a swamp buggy under the cover of provides for an exhilarating challenge. We recommend any caliber from .223 to a .30-.06, however the weapon of choice on our swamp buggy hunts is a .223 A/R platform with a thermal scope. We also offer loaner weaponry at no charge, although there is a charge for ammunition. Ian and his team provide private hunts for each party, and on his high fence ranch you are almost guaranteed a successful hunt. Lodging and meals are not included in this package, but check out Ian's other listings if interested in an overnight stay. On a typical hunt you will arrive, meet the guides, go through a 30 minute safety briefing and set the expectations for the hunt. Then you will head to Ian’s full service rifle range to test their aim before embarking on their adventure, which typically lasts around 4 hours but can go longer depending on the success of the hunt. You can expect to shoot hogs from 50-100 yards. After the hunt, head back to the lodge to wind down with some refreshments, and optionally you can tag along with Ian and his crew to watch them feed the alligators on his property, which is always a fun sight to see. Additionally, you’re welcome to utilize the gun range at any point during your stay. It is also very common to do multiple hunts during your stay, so check out Ian’s other listings to make this a combination adventure! On this thrilling hog hunt with Kris you'll have the opportunity to shoot UNLIMITED hogs! Your hunt will be a spot and stalk hog hunt using the latest thermal technology, and Kris will provide you with all of the guns, thermals, and ammo you need to make this a great hunt. This trip does not include lodging, but there are several hotels and rental options within 20 minutes of the ranch (Bonham, TX or Paris, TX). These are private hunts as well, so you and your group will have freedom over the entirety of the property. Customers typically arrive around 7pm, or shortly after dusk, and will have the opportunity to hunt the property for 4 or 5 hours. Kris and his team have a guaranteed shot opportunity policy, meaning if on the rare chance that you do not see any hogs, you do not pay! After your hunt, Kris and his team will clean your bounty free of charge, and it is also important to not that there is no trophy fee, so you can take down as big of a hog as you're able to. Thermal Hunts: Thermal hunting is one of the most productive ways to hunt for wild boar esp in the Florida heat. It has really gained popularity and the last few years with advancements in technology in thermal equipment available to citizens. Our rifles are equipped with pulsar XP50 scopes and we carry pulsar axion Xm30 handheld units which make scanning easier. They make spotting would boar at night a game changer. On this hunt we will ride the property on a Kawasaki mule with absolutely no lights on, just thermals. Once a hog is spotted we will sneak up on foot to within around 100 yds typically and take a shot. Our scopes have recording abilities so you can record your hunt and download the footage right to your hunt so you’ll have a hunt that you can share.
