About Your Trip

Head out to explore the backcountry flats and tidal creeks with Captain Mike around St. Augustine! Captain Mike is and expert at conventional rod and reel, but is more than happy to break the fly rod out for you as well.

This charter is a popular choice for both longtime anglers and families because of its wide range of fishing opportunities. St. Augustine is riddled with shallow water marshes, tidal creeks, and bay systems where
all kinds of Redfish, Trout, Sheepshead, Flounder, and other species love to hang out and feed.

You'll be exploring these inshore waters aboard Captain Mike's 20 ft Pathfinder which has a low draft allowing you to stalk into inches of water where these fish like to hang out. It also has 150 HP Yamaha strapped to the back so he can take you between honey holes very quickly.

Captain Mike will provide all the gear you could possibly need for this inshore adventure. All he recommends you bring are your favorite snacks and drinks, your weather-appropriate gear, and some shades. He'll take care of the rest!

Possible Species: Snook, Jack Crevalle, Tarpon (summertime), Spotted Sea Trout, Sharks, Ladyfish, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Redfish, Goliath Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and others

We enjoyed our fishing trip with Mike. His boat is comfortable, safe and can go in the skinny water. Fishing was off for everyone this afternoon, but Mike worked diligently to produce. We caught a few nice fish and had a wonderful ride on a beautiful day.

Capt Mike got us on fish even in difficult weather. We had a great time and would do it again.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. Once you book the trip, we will connect you directly with the guide to go over any additional details. In the meantime, our team is always available to answer your questions via email, text, chat, or call!
