Offshore fishing involves running further offshore in or near the Gulfstream. Many might think that this would be miles and miles from shore and in the Northeastern part of the United States it is 100 miles out but in reality, it is only two miles off the shores of Miami Beach. Many of the fish that anglers look to fish for live in the warmer waters within the Gulfstream’s current. This means that the Tuna, Marlin, Swordfish, Sailfish, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi and other fish are located just a few minutes away. Fishing methods vary depending on what you are looking for but the method most used is trolling. Trolling is having one or more fishing lines are in the water at one time baited with either lures or bait fish while the boat is moving. Trolling is a great method because it covers a lot of area and the more chances of getting on the fish. Trolling is great for catching; Mahi-Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo,Kingfish, Barracuda, Sailfish and the elusive but fun to catch Billfish. Another method is for the Captain to troll around looking for birds and debris as this is a good indicator of fish in the area, especially Mahi Mahi. The Mahi-Mahi are best caught during the summer months but their season runs from early April to Late September. November to May is the time to come down to South Florida for your best chances to hook a sailfish. The winter months of December to February are the optimal months. Pick from a half-day. 3/4 day, or full day adventure to satisfy your thrill seeking desires! On this trip you will be trolling the Miami Coast in pursuit of the legendary bounty known to this area! For half-day trips you will be venturing 3-8 miles offshore, 3/4 day 3-12 miles, and full day 3-15 or wherever the bite takes you! The Captain and Mate will provide you with top quality fishing equipment including conventional and spinning tackle ranging from 10 to 130 lb class. When it comes to cleaning and filleting the catch. trip description for Miami Beach Sportfishing Trip in Miami Beach

Sportfishing here in Miami Beach is a unique experience unlike any other. Captain Ethan and his crew know the area and know how to make your trip enjoyable and memorable. His sportfishing charters offer plenty of opportunities to catch and keep your fish, if you so desire! Ethan and his crew can even clean your catch and suggest nearby restaurants that will cook it up for you. Charters launch from the Miami Beach Marina and traverse the area between Ft. Lauderdale and Key Largo. However, if the fishing report states a much wider range, Captain Ethan will go as far as 30 miles offshore. His goal is to give you the best sportfishing experience possible—each and every trip. Some of the fish regularly caught on these trips include Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Kingfish, Tuna, Sharks, Blackfin Tuna, and Wahoo. However, an unexpected blue or white Marlin may show its face in the spread, when an experienced angler knows you never know what to expect. While a few fish are catch and release only, you can keep much of what you catch—depending on size. Our crew will keep you up to date with the current information. A day of sport fishing is something you will never forget! All equipment is provided, but you are welcome to use your own if you prefer. Please bring your own snacks and drinks for the trip as well as a tip for the deckhands! Read More

trip description for Miami Beach Fishing Adventure in Miami Beach

It takes around 15 minutes to reach the ocean from Captain Maurice's dock and most of the fish you'll catch are within two miles offshore. Miami's warm Gulf Stream waters produce fish all year round, including Sailfish, Wahoo, Dolphin, Kingfish, Tuna, Amberjack, Barracuda and Sharks. Miami is unique because you don't have to commit to a full day adventure to chase after these big pelagic species, and though you may have better chances at bigger fish on longer adventures, the possibility (for big fish) is always there on the 4 hour as well! Captain Maurice will provide all the necessary gear for your adventure! All he recommends you bring are your favorite snacks and drinks, and your sun protection. He'll take care of the rest. I've been out on charters many, many times mostly down the east coast but also in Cabo. I must say the trip out with captain Manny is one of the two best trips out I've ever experienced. Her out is on fish, Jordan (the mate) ensured the rods and basis were correct and ready to catch fish. This was just a half day trip but next trip I'm going full day. Wow, I highly recommend Captain Manny!!!!! The catch highlights have to include the 54" barracuda and a 7' shark (it took two of us tag teaming and over 30 minutes to bring the shark alongside the boat for measurement.

Taylor was amazing! He knew exactly what he was doing; the spots to go to, which bait to use to catch certain fish, and how to set up each individual line. He also knew when each line would be hooked or something was biting, even when we couldn’t see it. We ended up with one big catch that broke the line as we spent what felt like hours fighting it. Even though we didn’t end up feeling anything in, it was still a great experience out on the water, talking about a range of topics with Taylor. We would definitely come back and book with Taylor and Wicked Cuda again!

Maurice and his son took 5 of us out and despite unusual 50 degree rainy weather in Miami we absolutely crushed it. Caught some kingfish, false albacore, and-the cherry on top-a beautiful sailfish. Maurice worked tirelessly to put us on fish and even stayed out a little longer than we should have to get us more bites. He runs a very clean operation and I’ll be back for more.
