trip description for Red Grouper Special in Bokeelia

On this trip, you'll head offshore with Captain Stephen to "go deep" for Red Grouper, one of the biggest and tastiest fish in the Gulf! This offshore adventure is great for anglers of all levels, so bring your friends or folks! The Red Grouper is one of the most sought-after species in this area, known for its delicious taste. These reef fish are typically found in deeper waters, ranging from 50 to 200 feet, making them a prime target for offshore charters. Your trip will start early in the morning. You'll head out on board Captain Stephen's 28' Parker pilothouse, which features all the gear and amenities you need for an epic trip! After you reach the deep water, you'll drop lines down to jig the reefs and rocks, aiming to attract some big bites. The bait will vary depending on what the fish are feeding on that day. Once you've hooked a Red Grouper, be prepared for a challenging fight. These fish can grow up to 50 pounds and will put up a significant struggle, testing your skills and strength as an angler. But once you've reeled in your catch, you'll be rewarded with delicious, firm white meat that is perfect for grilling or frying! Aside from Red Grouper, you may also encounter other species such as Vermillion Snapper, Lane Snapper, Grouper, and Amberjack, all of which can provide an exciting fight and make for a memorable trip. In between catches, take the time to enjoy the stunning scenery and the wildlife that surrounds you, including dolphins, sea turtles, and seabirds. trip description for Grouper/Snapper 40mi+ in Bokeelia

The bottom fishing off of SW Florida can be described as nothing short of excellent. The only downside to the fishing on this coast is you need to make longer runs to get to the fishy waters. It is my opinion that the quality of fish increases dramatically the further you go out. With this said, a good quantity of fish can be caught on all trips, but the quality is the variable. For your best chance at landing a trophy, read through the blurbs to set the right expectations and select the right trip for your goals. This is a nice trip to catch some fish and bring a few home to eat. We will catch keeper sized grouper on this trip. This is a nice moderate trip if you want to catch keeper fish but not be out all day. We usually catch enough fish for a good fish fry. Primary targets include Red Grouper, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper & Vermillion Snapper. Read More

James is clearly passionate about the waters and his knowledge was shown with every question we had answered. James was beyond patient, professional, and cares about his clients’ time. James knew where the action was and put us on some fish. I had an excellent time catching multiple species. Overall, my buddy and I felt welcomed and enjoyed hanging out with James and his mate Joe.
