If you've been searching for the Walleye trip of a lifetime, look no further. Captain Chris is an expert when it comes to fishing Lake Erie for these gamefish, and he'll make sure that you and yours have a blast and go home with a trophy, a full cooler, or both!

In order to maximize the chances of success, Captain Chris follows the fish as they migrate around the lake. In the spring, you'll fish the western basin, then move east as the water begins to warm up. In the fall, the fish head back west and eat like crazy as they prepare for the long winter. If you're looking to catch a trophy, spring and fall are the times to do it!

On this trip, you'll be using a variety of lures to draw bites. Depending on the time of year, there are a several different techniques to choose from. In the spring, you'll employ diving crank baits that can find Walleye down in the deep, cold water. Towards the middle of the summer, you'll focus on trolling.
As the season progresses, you may switch to spoons or other lures depending on what's getting the bite. Captain Chris will make sure to get you set up with the best tackle, no matter the season!

You'll be fishing out there aboard his 20' Fishmaster built in 2017. She's a fast boat that's ideal for trolling, with twin 225-HP Mercury outboards so you'll be out there in the blink of an eye! You'll be provided with everything you need for a blue-ribbon fishing trip; all you need to bring is proper clothing for the weather, your Ohio fishing license, and a good attitude!

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
