Bass fishing is a popular activity on Lake Travis, with many anglers coming from all over the country to enjoy the excellent largemouth bass fishing. Hop on board with Captain Jake for an exciting day on Lake Travis.

The lake's more than 18,000 acres of water and numerous underwater structures provide ample opportunity for successful bass fishing trips. In addition, the flooded vegetation around the lake creates ideal conditions for largemouth bass to spawn and
feed. Anglers who join Captain Jake are bound to catch some monster Largemouth and Striped Bass.

Captain Jake can accommodate 3 people on these 4-hour (half-day) and 8-hour (full-day) adventures. During this trip, you will learn the latest and most effective techniques and how to adapt your presentation to your environment. No fishing experience is required! Anglers of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Heavy-duty spinning or baitcasting gear is often necessary in order to handle the largemouth bass that are found in the lake.

Anglers who Join Captain Jake on his beautiful bass boat will be well on their way to having a successful Bass fishing trip on Lake Travis. All equipment will be provided including high-quality fishing rods and a variety of lures. Also, life jackets are provided for all guests during the trip and sharp hooks will be handled by your guide. You’ll want to bring food and drinks of your choice (no glass), sunscreen, a hat, an ice chest for your day’s catch, and, of course, some great company.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Jake will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account.

We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.
Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.
Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
Once you book the trip, we will connect you directly with the guide to go over any additional details. In the meantime, our team is always available to answer your questions via email, text, chat, or call!
