Get ready for an action packed day up in North Texas! Blake's combo duck and hog hunts. Bunkstyle lodging is included in this hunt. Three nights lodging with two days of hunting. Blake and his team are based in Montague county in North Texas, and offer these badass duck hunting/hog hunting combo trips on their surrounding properties and leases. The duck hunts start at legal shooting time and are usually wrapped-up by 9:00 or so but you can hunt till 10:00 if you haven't reached your limit. They hunt only private lakes, most of which are on farms and hold lots and lots of ducks and geese. They have access to and hunt over 60 lakes, starting in the Bowie/Bellevue area and headed north to the Red River. Blake and his team will take care of the decoys, the dogs, and the blinds. All you need to bring is your camo, shotguns, shells and snacks and drinks. After wrapping up the morning duck hunt, they extend the adventure to include an evening hog-hunting leg of the trip, so you can make the most out of your time in North Texas. North Texas is known for its abundant hog population, providing an excellent opportunity to add some thrilling hog hunting to your trip. For this hog hunting portion, Blake's team will continue to provide the necessary equipment and expertise. Our Crane and Bird, Deer, Hog Hunting guides are carefully selected and matched to provide our Hunting clients with the best outdoors experience possible. Each guide is a seasoned professional hunting guide with years of hunting and client focused service experience. A typical Crane hunt involves an early morning breakfast followed by beginning the hunt one hour before sunrise. Our hunting clients typically help set up our Crane decoys and begin helping to set up our mobile Crane Blind. We prefer our clients involved in all phases of a successful Sand Hill Crane Hunt. It allows us to deploy the decoys and blind with less help in the field. The faster we set up and load out the gear after the hunt, the more time our clients have to travel. We do not wear our clients out by packing too much gear, we just ask for a little help to ensure a safe and productive experience. Sandhill cranes require far less decoys than your average goose hunt. Meals Schedule, for a typical weekend two day guided hunting package we provide one meal (Dinner) upon arrival Friday Evening and three meals Saturday (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) and one meal Sunday (Breakfast) for a total of five meals per person. We hunt Saturday & Sunday Morning with guest departure after the hunt is completed by Sunday early afternoon. Generally until limits are achieved or at 12 Noon on Sunday. THE LODGE Sleeps up to 12 The lodge, purchased in 2010, has been fully refurbished and out fitted for modern living since the building's humble beginnings as a Methodist Church. The expansive main room features game tables, flat screen TV and full kitchen, perfect for private parties & receptions. The ground floor features laundry and two full bathrooms for men & women, including rain shower heads and multiple stalls. Downstairs, you'll find five individual bedrooms with bunk beds, twin beds and queen beds, depending on the room. THE COOKHOUSE Sleeps up to 6 Located just across the street from the Lodge, the Cookhouse is a smaller building that boasts a gourmet kitchen including two ovens, two refrigerators and a standing freezer. The main room is lined with tables to accommodate the hunters and cowboys who gather to dine here three times a day. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms located in the cookhouse, making it perfect for a small hunting party.
