trip description for Tuna Marlin and More in Rincon

A world class fisherman, and an even better man, Captain Pepis can do it all, and can cater your trip to whatever fishing experience you have or activities you'd like to fit in on your trip. So whether you want to fish, snorkel or just enjoy a trip on Captain Pepi's boat (or a combination of all 3!), this is the perfect activity to do with kids, family or a group of friends. The waters of the West Coast of Puerto Rico are known as the Mona Passage, where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean. The fishing in Rincon is world class: ESPN's Billfish Extreme Release League rated Western Puerto Rico as #3 in the world for Blue Marlin fishing. The tuna, wahoo and mahi-mahi fishing is top-notch as well. The nearby deep sea waters are warm, clear and blue water and make for excellent fishing throughout the whole year! Rates include tackle and refreshments (water and soda). Feel free to bring your food or snacks, there is enough cooler space for anything you might want to keep cold. While this trip isn't nessecarily a grocery run to fill the freezer, Captain Pepi has no problem sharing the catch. You will always be able to take enough fish to eat for yourselves and your traveling party. He can also help make arrangements with local restaurants in town to have your catch cooked for you once you're back at the dock. Captain Pepi recommends you dress in light clothing, cap/visor and boat shoes/sandals are alsi recommended. He usually keep enough sunblock on the boat, but if you wish you can also bring your own. In terms of things you should not bring: No bananas will be allowed onboard! This is an old fishing superstition, but take my word for it, there may be some truth to it. Please no hard-soled shoes on the boat either (rubber tennis shoes are fine). You may bring beverages or beer, but no glass bottles please. Also, please bring sunscreen, but no spray sunscreen as it causes the deck to become slippery. Captain Pepi is excited to take you on an excellent catered experience, and while species are never guaranteed, see his Seasonal fish Calendar below for an idea of what species will be available during your trip: JANUARY: Wahoo, Kingfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish and Blackfin Tuna FEBRUARY: Mahi-mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Kingfish and Blackfin Tuna MARCH: Mahi-mahi, Wahoo, Kingfish, Yellowfin Tuna, and Blackfin Tuna APRIL: Mahi-mahi, Wahoo, Kingfish and Blackfin Tuna MAY: Blackfin Tuna and Mackerel. JUNE: Blue Marlin, Blackfin Tuna, White Marlin, Longbill Spearfish and Mackerel JULY: Blue Marlin, Blackfin Tuna, White Marlin, Longbill Spearfish and Mackerel. AUGUST: Blue Marlin, Blackfin Tuna, White Marlin, Longbill Spearfish and Mackerel. SEPTEMBER: Blue Marlin, Blackfin Tuna, White Marlin, Longbill Spearfish and Mackerel. On top of that you can have one of the best chances in the Lower 48 at killing a Cinnamon Teal! Leaf's Texas duck hunting trips are fun and offer several benefits, and provide a mentally stimulating challenge to hunters as well. Duck hunting can range in difficulty but oftentimes can pose quite a challenge. Duck hunting prevents overpopulation, and in turn, preserves native biodiversity. This makes your contribution to duck hunting in Texas go beyond just the thrill of trophy hunts — you are helping out the planet. Technology provides conveniences, but sometimes you need a break from it—not only to feel better, but for the sake of your health, too. Duck hunting serves as a great escape to nature. A mere few hours in nature help you not only escape our digital world—but also let you alleviate stress in a positive way. Getting away from the ordinary provides an important refresher for your body and mind! All the decoys, blinds, and transportation are taken care of on the trips, all you need to bring with you is your shotgun (12 gauge recommended), steel shot shells, and waders.
