Are you ready to catch one of the most beautiful freshwater fish in south Florida? Fishing With Jake offers 2 hour and 4 hour charters where we will focus on catching peacock bass in Fort Lauderdale. We guarantee that you will catch some of these incredible fish. Our fishing charter is different from everyone else. We don’t use a boat so you don’t have to worry about getting seasick. We meet at one of the Bait And Tackle stores where you buy the live bait. After that you will get into one of our vehicles, and we will take you to anywhere from 5-10 of our best fishing spots. We love fishing with everyone including all ages and all skill levels. We provide all of the fishing gear including spinning rods and the hooks. Growing up in a ranching family that has been in the Victoria, Texas area since the 1870s, James developed early on a deep appreciation for the land and wildlife. His passion for fishing the Gulf coast comes from spending weekends and summers in Rockport, Texas. There he began crafting his fishing skills at age 4 with his father, along the San Antonio Bay system south to Lower Laguna Madre. After attending Southwest Texas University, James obtained his Captain's license in 2005 to share his knowledge and experience on the water with others. In addition to conventional fishing, James has been an avid fly fisherman for 15 years. He has spent time in the Bahamas learning new techniques for fly casting, which he can pass along to fly-fishing clients at any level. His knack for teaching first timers with his carefree, relaxed attitude will make learning to fish a memorable and rewarding experience. Capt. James has been guiding since 2005 and has grown up fishing the Port Aransas and Rockport areas all his life. We will be fishing primarily for Redfish, Trout, Flounder and Black Drum. If you are looking to spend a day on the Indian River, Mosquito Lagoon, or further out exploring the nearshore waters beyond Ponce Inlet area let Captain Todd take you out on the water for an epic experience. Captain Todd runs inshore and backcountry fishing trips that can yield the likes of Redfish, Black Drum, Speckled Trout & Snook. If weather conditions cooperate Captain Todd also offers nearshore trips in the spring, summer & early fall out of Ponce Inlet for Tarpon, Snook, Bull Redfish Shark and the occasional Barracuda. You will be fishing from a brand new 24ft Skeeter bay boat. The waters you will see are portions of the Inter-Coastal Waterway which runs up the inside of the barrier islands on the Atlantic coast. You can go sight fishing and try out his custom spinning or bait casting rods for a light tackle adventure you are certain to enjoy. If you like fishing on the fly, the captain can accommodate you, just let us know in advance. The boat is equipped with Garmin & Lowrance Electronics, 8′ Power Pole anchors, Engel Coolers and life jackets for everyone. Captain Todd is on the Pro Staff of company’s like “PowerPole“, “Florida Fishing Products“, “MHX Rods“, “Engel Coolers“, “THMarine“, “Gambler Lures“, “Bob’s Jack Plates” you will be using the best available equipment. The captain will furnish FFP Reels, MHX custom rods, live bait, and lures. Bottled water is served on board, but you can also bring your own favorite beverage. The Lower Mountain Fork River is a year-round trout fishery located in the beautiful Ouachita Mountains of southeastern Oklahoma just north of Broken Bow. One of the best tailwaters in the South, this beautiful river sustains natural Trout reproduction for great year-round fishing in both size and numbers. 20+ inch Brown and Rainbow Trout are caught often, and the Oklahoma state record Brown Trout was caught here (weighing 17.4 lbs!). On this half or full-day trip, Chris will take you to the Lower Mountain Fork River where you'll wade in the banks and go after some Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout. These Trout-heavy rivers are excellent for throwing your first fly-fishing casts, knocking off the rust on your casting skills, or going for as many fish as you can.
